Aperam applies another energy surcharge
French stainless steel producer Aperam is applying a €480/tonne ($479) energy surcharge to its contracts starting this month. This confirms and increases the previous surcharge of €431/t applied from 1 March. The new energy surcharge is composed of electricity, gas costs, and CO2 emissions allowance, Kallanish notes.
