Aperam lowers alloy surcharges
French stainless steel producer Aperam is decreasing its December alloy surcharges for its austenitic range of flat stainless steels for Europe by over €100/tonne ($109), Kallanish notes.
Aperam’s surcharges for grade 304 will go from €2,135/t to €2,069/t, effective 1 December. Grade 316 will increase from €3,581/t to €3,378/t next month. Grade 309S, a heat-resistant stainless steel used in high-temperature applications, will decline…
