ArcelorMittal invests $162 million in Burns Harbor operations
ArcelorMittal plans to invest $162 million in its steel operations in Burns Harbor, Indiana, Kallanish reports.
According to a company statement, planned improvements over the next few years include $19.25m to rebuild the No. 2 coke battery; $140m at the 80-inch hot-strip rolling mill along; with an in-line temper mill, new cranes, and a new basic oxygen furnace vessel.
