Arvedi denies JSW Piombino acquisition talks
Italian steelmaker Arvedi has denied reports it is in talks with JSW Steel to acquire its Italian long products facility in Piombino, Tuscany.
Sources in the market had told Kallanish talks are at an advanced stage. They believe the Italian steelmaker has a good chance to buy the troubled facility. This would be either through 100% ownership or with JSW retaining a small share to continue to produce rails for Italian national railway company Ferrovie dello Stato. …
