ASEAN wire rod market slips on Chinese weakness
The ASEAN wire rod import market has seen some offer prices come down amid the downward correction in China, Kallanish notes.
In Manila, offers for Chinese mesh-grade 6.5mm diameter wire rod, for February shipment, are prevailing at $550-555/tonne cfr Manila. These are believed to be cargoes without full payment of Chinese VAT.
