Austria’s steel production rebounds in July
Austria’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in July compared to the previous month, according to worldsteel data.
Output amounted to 654,000 tonnes, up by 0.9% compared to June, but 0.3% less on-year, Kallanish notes.
In January-July, the country produced 4.44 million tonnes of steel, down 3.4% on-year.
In 2022, Austria reduced steel production by 4.7% on-year to 7.51mt.
