Bahrain market awaits July-rolling rebar import offers
The Bahrain market is awaiting Saudi- and Emirati-origin rebar quotes, which are expected to be offered after the Eid Al Adha holiday when business activity resumes from next Sunday, Kallanish observes.
This week, retail prices have fallen drastically in the country from last week's quotes at BD 247-248/tonne ($657-660). To deplete their stocks, traders are selling rebar in the retail market at BD 242-245/t ($644-652) delivered on a credit basis.
