Baosteel lowers May flats offers
After weak demand prompted Baosteel to stabilise prices in April after raising them in March, the company finally decided to lower flat steel prices in May, Kallanish notes.
A price cut of CNY 100/tonne ($13.8/t) applies to hot rolled coil, thick plate, and galvanized steel. It also applies to aluminium coated, aluminium-zinc, aluminium-magnesium, and non-oriented silicon steel.
