Brazil’s AVB posts record first-quarter shipments
Brazil’s Ferroeste Group subsidiary Aço Verde do Brasil (AVB) has posted record sales for a first quarter, Kallanish learns from the company's latest operating report. Q1 shipments to the domestic market, however, were weaker when compared to the previous quarter.
AVB’s Q1 long steel sales were 89,167 tonnes, down 5.5% compared to the previous quarter, but 18.3% higher compared to the same period in 2022.
