Brazil’s construction industry imports further Turkish rebar cargo
Brazil’s construction industry chamber, CBIC, says it has imported 20,000 tonnes of rebar from Turkey. The cargo began unloading on 24 September at Sao Francisco do Sul Port, Kallanish notes.
The supply was requested by more than 190 companies that joined CBIC’s import programme to overcome higher domestic prices of long steel products faced by the manufacturing chain in Brazil.
