Brazil's pig iron production, exports grow in July
Brazilian pig iron output increased month-on-month but was weaker on-year in July, although insignificantly. Export volumes improved strongly during the month, Kallanish notes.
According to data issued by the local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), July pig iron output reached 2.15 million tonnes, up 5.2% m-o-m but 0.8% less versus the same period in 2022. Seven-month production totalled 14.94mt, which was 5.3% lower than the 15.77…
