British Steel joins UK net-zero industrial cluster
A group of 12 cross-industry companies, including British Steel, submitted on Wednesday a bid for UK public funding to develop a zero-carbon industrial cluster in northeast England, Kallanish Steel’s sister publication Kallanish Energy reports.
The so-called Zero Carbon Humber (ZCH) Partnership, which also includes oil producer Equinor and power utilities Drax and SSE, plans to power energy-intensive industries with hydrogen and carbon capture technologies.
