Canada monthly building permit values hit 3-year low
The value of monthly building permits in Canada in December fell to the lowest level since October 2020, Kallanish learns from a Statistics Canada press release.
December building permit values were down 14.5% on a year-on-year basis to CAD 9.2 billion ($6.83 billion). StatsCan mentions that rising material costs and labour costs inflated nominal building permit valuations.
