Canada reduces wait time to re-apply safeguards
Canada has approved legislation that temporarily waives a two-year waiting period to re-apply safeguard measures on the same product, Kallanish reports.
C-101, which cleared the House of Commons last week, amends Canada’s agreement with the World Trade Organisation for a period of two years.It also substitutes a 180-day window for re-application of safeguards in place of the original two-year requirement.
