Chinese scrap drops in market downturn

China's scrap market gradually declined last week, with Chinese steel mills suppressing purchasing prices during the steel market downturn. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,637/tonne ($365/t), including VAT.
