Chinese automobile production increases slightly in March

China saw automotive production rebound in March but only slightly. Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows China produced 2.63 million vehicles in March, an increase of 1.15% year-on-year. Passenger vehicle output was up slightly, by 0.51% y-o-y to 2.2m units, while commercial vehicle output grew 4.58% from 2017 to 429,300 units.
