Chinese steel futures weaken
Chinese steel futures prices fell overnight on Tuesday and weakened further during the day on Wednesday.
The May rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down at CNY 3,375/tonne ($489.09/t), a CNY 91/t fall, while the May hot rolled coil contract fell CNY 76/t to CNY 3,722/t. The May iron ore contract on Dalian Commodities Exchange was down CNY 30.5/t at CNY 605/t.
