Chinese steel futures dip further
Chinese steel futures remained stable overnight but showed diverging trends on Tuesday, with rebar futures decreasing as demand slows while hot rolled coil started to pick up towards the end of trading. Steel demand has fallen in tandem with steel production restrictions (see separate article) although this appears to have affected rebar more than hot rolled coil, Kallanish notes.
