Chinese futures rebound on raw materials supply disruption
Raw materials including coking coal and coke thrived on Tuesday on disrupted supply due to land traffic congestion, thus resulting in a slight rebound in Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 168/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 5,035/t ($764/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 142/t at CNY 5,180/t.
