CIS June steel output increases, but down on-month

CIS crude steel production increased in June, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 6.8 million tonnes, up by 5.2% year-on-year. That total was below the volume seen in May, when CIS production was 7.9mt, up by 11.5% on-year (see Kallanish passim). In January-June, output fell by 3.4% on-year to 43.3mt.
