Cleveland-Cliffs closes on AK Steel purchase
US iron ore producer Cleveland-Cliffs has closed on its $1.1 billion buy of legacy steelmaker AK Steel, Kallanish learns from a company release.
AK Steel will now operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cliffs.
