Cleveland-Cliffs files EAF air permit application
US flatrolled steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs has filed an application for an air permit with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for a proposed electric arc furnace melt shop at its Middletown Works.
The Ohio EPA’s public notice states that the permit is for the “proposed installation of an EAF melt shop and associated operations to produce steel slab.”
