Cleveland-Cliffs idles Weirton tinplate mill, blaming AD/CVD reversal
Cleveland-Cliffs is idling its tinplate production plant in Weirton, West Virginia, Kallanish learns.
The Ohio-based steel producer states that its decision is the result of the US International Trade Commission’s (ITC) unanimous decision to negate antidumping and countervailing duties on tin mill products calculated by the Department of Commerce (see Kallanish passim).
