CMC acquires anchor cage manufacturer EDSCO Fasteners
Commercial Metals Co., the Irving, Texas-based US longs steel producer, has acquired EDSCO Fasteners, a market-leading provider of anchoring solutions for electrical transmissions. Kallanish notes that much of EDSCO’s line of custom engineered anchor cages, bolts and fasteners utilises rebar to help secure high-voltage electrical transmission poles to concrete foundations.
