CMC receives permit to build fourth micro mill
West Virginia’s environmental protection department has granted US longs steel producer Commercial Metals Co. a permit to begin construction of a new electric arc furnace (EAF) micro mill.
CMC, the largest domestic rebar producer, operates three other EAF micro mills and six mini mills across the nation.
CMC ceo Barbara Smith comments that “receiving this permit is an important milestone in our Steel West Virginia micro mill project."
