Energy hikes threaten Turkey’s global longs market share
Turkish steel producers, already struggling with weak demand in both domestic and global markets, have been hit with 50% and 50.8% rises respectively in electricity and natural gas prices since 1 September. The price of natural gas used for electricity production has been raised by 49.5%.
