Erdemir's first-quarter financials soar despite lower output
Turkey's Erdemir Group reduced output of crude steel in the first quarter by 14% on-year to 2 million tonnes, working at 83% capacity utilisation, down 14 percentage points on-year.
The firm reduced output at its Iskenderun plant in Q1 by 6% to 1.34mt and cut the Eregli plant's output by 26% to 0.7mt.
