European stainless flats sales calm causes unrest
The European stainless flat steel market continues to be sluggish for both coil and its derivative sales, Kallanish hears.
“Sales activity is too quiet but our clients are ordering, just low volumes, and there is no restocking,” a service centre in northern Europe comments. The company says first-quarter sales volumes were significantly lower compared to Q1 2022 but approximately in line with Q1 2019, the year before the pandemic.
