Eurostat confirms slowdown of construction activity in Europe
The latest figures published by Eurostat on the construction sector confirm that since March, activity across Europe has slowed down significantly, also impacting demand and sentiment for long steel products.
In March alone, production in EU construction fell 1.2% year-on-year. The fall was both in civil engineering applications (-1.8%) and building activities (-1.2%), according to Eurostat.
