Evraz cancels demerger of Raspadskaya due to sanctions
Evraz has abandoned plans for the demerger of its Raspadskaya coal producer into a separate business due to the difficult economic situation and sanctions, Kallanish notes.
The Raspadskaya demerger had been due for completion by end-March. The unit mined 23.3 million tonnes of coal in 2021, up by 13% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
