Canada's monthly iron ore output, construction activity weaken
Canada's iron mining and construction output weakened in January, Kallanish learns from data gathered by Statistics Canada.
According to the agency's latest report, mining activity experienced its first decline in three months, down 1.9% from December. Contributing to that drop was a 14.4% month-on-month reduction in coal mining and a 2.3% m-o-m decrease in iron ore mining activity.
