GCC re-rolling grade HRC deal sets benchmark
The Gulf Cooperation Council hot rolled coil market saw the first deal for re-rolling grade material last week after a 1.5-month hiatus, Kallanish notes.
The niche enquiry from the largest re-roller in United Arab Emirates translated into a deal with a Japanese mill for 10,000 tonnes of multiple re-rolling grades of HRC, in sizes of 1.8-2.5mm thicknesses for the base grade.
