Gerdau agrees to pay compensation for effluents
Gerdau has agreed to pay BRL5 million ($1m) in compensation for the environmental impact caused by effluent from its operations in Ouro Branco, Kallanish learns from the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG).
The amount of compensation will be allocated to the special Semente project of the MPMG, which ensures greater legal certainty and transparency in the allocation of compensatory measures presented by institutions, private initiatives and public authorities.
