Gerdau, Shell create solar energy joint venture
Gerdau will significantly reduce production costs by using renewable energy in its entire production chain in Brazil, Kallanish notes. The steelmaker has signed a binding agreement with Shell for the development, construction and operation of a new solar park in the Minas Gerais state.
