HDG imports into Turkey fall in August
Turkey continued to reduce imports of coated flat steel products under HS code heading 7210 in August, but year-to-date volumes remained above last year's, Kallanish observes.
August arrivals of the material totalled 44,418 tonnes, down 36.3% on-month and 21.2% on-year, with year-to-date intake up 4.8% on-year to 478,888t. This compares to an 8.5% rise on-year in the first seven months of 2022, data by Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) show. …
