Higher sales prices boost Hadeed first-half earnings
Saudi Iron & Steel Company (Hadeed) reported an 18% on-quarter growth in second-quarter revenue to SAR 3.51 billion ($936 million), Kallanish notes. However, Ebitda reduced 46% to SAR 340m and income from operations fell 81% to SAR 60m due mainly to a rise in raw materials cost.
Average sales prices rose 4% and sales volume grew 14%, parent company and petrochemicals giant Sabic says without providing values.
