Hoa Phat's production, sales recover in March
Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat Group has seen its steel production and sales recover slightly in March with a slow improvement of the local steel market.
It produced 440,000 tonnes of crude steel in the past month, a growth of 6% compared with February. This pushed crude steel output in the first quarter to 1.2 million tonnes, down 42% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. HRC production was 210,000t in March, up 13% from February.
