Hyundai lowers bid prices for Japanese scrap
Hyundai Steel has quelled the recent ascent in Japanese scrap in the South Korean market by bidding lower in its weekly purchase auction, Kallanish notes.
The leading South Korean electric arc furnace steelmaker lowered its bid prices for Japanese scrap last Friday by a blanket JPY 1,500/tonne ($13/t) from its previous auction on 17 February.
