Hyundai maintains Japanese scrap purchase prices
Hyundai Steel has maintained its bid prices for Japanese scrap in its weekly purchase auction, Kallanish notes.
The South Korean mill's latest bid price on 17 March for H2 is at JPY 63,500/tonne ($535/t) fob and for H1/H2 at JPY 64,000/t. Its bids for shredded scrap, HS grade and Shindachi Bara (loose) scrap were all at the same level of JPY 68,500/t. These are unchanged from its purchase auction last week.
