Increasing Turkish economic confidence fails to lift construction
Turkey’s seasonally-adjusted construction sector confidence index inched up to 50.4 in June compared to 49.8 the previous month. However, it was still the second-lowest monthly figure so far in 2019, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish.
The index for building activity over the past three months fell to 55.4 versus 57.4 in May, while current overall order-books were at 37.3 compared to 38.4.
