Iron ore stalls as steel production under threat
Seaborne iron ore prices lost momentum on Monday as near-month futures prices fell sharply. Although there was some continued low-Fe spot trading, markets are quiet ahead of the approaching Chinese New Year holiday. The prospect of new output restrictions meanwhile also undermined sentiment.
