ISA elects Naveen Jindal as new president
Indian steelmakers’ representative body, the Indian Steel Association (ISA), has elected Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) chairman Naveen Jindal as its new president, with immediate effect, Kallanish notes.
Jindal was elected by ISA’s governing body, the Apex Committee. ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India chief executive Dilip Oommen held the position prior to Jindal’s appointment, and was succeeded as of 21 March, ISA says.
