Italian car output increases in 2023
Italian passenger car production increased by 14.5% year-on-year in 2023 to 541,953 units, Kallanish notes from local carmakers' association Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica (Anfia) data.
However, light commercial vehicles output saw a significant 22.5% y-o-y fall to 209,056 units. Bus production reached 400 units, up 47.6% compared to 2022. 129,644 trucks were also manufactured, reflecting a significant on-year hike of 137.9%.
