Italian rebar prices continue to hike
Italian rebar contracts have increased by a further €30/tonne ($30.6/t) compared to last week. Mills have pushed up offers by a total of €50/t in recent days on account of high production costs. This is the second increase in two weeks.
Steelmakers pushed up prices to €600/t base ex-works last week and are now officially at €650/t, with some still asking for €620-630/t base ex-works, market participants tell Kallanish.
