Italian scrap prices have rebounded despite the low volumes being traded amid a general downturn in the steel sector. Market participants tell Kallanish the few increases registered over recent days do not necessarily mean the end of the downturn, however. Some steelmakers have increased their scrap prices by as much as €40/tonne ($40.03/t) compared to the beginning of July when domestic values fell to below other countries’ levels, such as France and Gā€¦
