Italian wire rod prices are declining by some €50/tonne ($52) compared to last month in a continued buyer-seller standoff, market participants tell Kallanish.
Drawing mills and distributors report continued sluggish demand and are purchasing only small volumes. Sellers say demand is patchy and the fourth-quarter slowdown in all of Europe is tangible. Despite the slow market, 2022 will bring record financial results for both sellers and buyers.
