JSW posts rise in October crude steel production
JSW Steel’s standalone crude steel output surged 25% on-year to 1.78 million tonnes in October, against 1.42mt a year earlier.
The firm’s flat-rolled steel production rose 30% on-year to 1.36mt, against 1.04mt last year. JSW’s long steel production increased 11% to 370,000t, against 334,000t in the corresponding period, Kallanish notes.
The firm says its capacity utilisation improved to 93% in October versus 89% in September.
