LatAm October finished steel trade deficit narrows
Latin America's steel trade deficit narrowed sequentially in October 2023 to 1.9 million tonnes. This was almost 4.5% smaller than in September but wider by 48.8% year-on-year, Kallanish learns from monthly data provided by the steel producers association Alacero. The ten-month deficit was 17.05mt, which is a 45.5% expansion compared with 11.7mt in the same period a year earlier.
