Latin American exports to US decrease in April
Latin American steel exports to the US fell sharply both month-on-month and year-on-year in April. Year-to-date shipments were also weak, Kallanish notes. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
According to preliminary data issued by the US Census Bureau, exports to the US from Latin America were 28.6% less on-month at 604,453 tonnes in April. This volume also represents a decrease of 39.5% or 394,928…
