Latin American finished steel production drops in September
Latin America finished steel output fell month-on-month and was also down on-year in September, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 4.23 million tonnes in the period, down 8.3% over August. This volume was also 10.6% weaker on-year. Long steel accounted for 2.06mt of output, while flat steel and seamless tube were 2.03mt and 138,400t, respectively.
